Adele Kahn at House of Kahn Estate Jewelers on Peruvian Avenue in Palm Beach called this morning to tell me about a special piece of jewelry she’d just purchased from a premium estate.

She thinks this French-made, platinum tiara featuring 42.51 carats of matching marquise-cut and baguette diamonds would make a splendid gift for HRH Prince William to present to his princess-to-be Kate Middleton this Christmas.

Kahn sees the $185,000 tiara as a great gift for any dude of means to give to his beloved… especially if she is planning to attend the always regal International Red Cross Ball at Mar-a-Lago in January, which traditionally calls for ladies in attendance to sport tiaras for the evening
